4th Grade

Welcome to 4th Grade!

In 4th grade, your child will learn in a welcoming classroom where they are encouraged to be leaders, work together, and take responsibility for their learning. Our lessons follow Colorado’s standards in all subjects. In math, students will build skills with multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. Reading will focus on understanding stories and information, growing vocabulary, and reading smoothly. Writing activities help students express their ideas clearly through stories, reports, and opinions while practicing grammar. Science classes include fun experiments that explore plants, animals, earth, and physical science. In social studies, kids learn about Colorado’s history, geography, government, and the importance of community. We aim to help every student grow as a confident learner and caring leader.

Meet the 4th Grade Teachers!

Meet Mrs. Guerrero

Aloha! My name is Samantha Guerrero. This will be my eighth year teaching at Meeker and my eleventh year teaching in District 6. I’ve taught preschool to third grade and everything in between. I’m excited to make the move to fourth grade this year!

I was raised on the island of Oahu, HI and moved to Colorado to attend CSU. I received my degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I went on to attend Colorado Christian University and obtained my Elementary Education licensure.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading, being outside, camping, and paddleboarding, I live in Fort Collins with my husband Jeremiah, our 3 ½ year old daughter Mahealani, and our dog Olive.

Meet Mrs. Keesis-Wood

I’m so excited to be returning for my 11th year as a Meeker Mountain Lion! I’m a native to Greeley, attending District 6 schools all the way through and I’m proud to have gotten my master’s degree from UNC to teach in this community.

I live here with my husband of 18 years Sean, and our 11-year old son Ethan, and our zoo of dogs, cats, fish, guinea pig, and horses.

When away from school, I love to read and write, do yoga, ride my horses, and cheer on my Avalanche and Broncos. Go Avs go!

Meet Mrs. Dreher

I am thrilled to be teaching 4th grade at Meeker again this year. This is my 14th year teaching and my 11th year in 4th grade! I am excited to have the opportunity to spend another year with some of my amazing 2nd graders from 2 years ago!

I attended UNC for my undergraduate degree and also received my masters in educational leadership and my principal’s license there in 2021.

My husband and I have been married for 11 years. We live here in the Meeker neighborhood and have a 10 year old daughter, Lyla, going into 5th grade. We also have a dog, Molly, and a turtle, Leo. In our free time we love to travel, garden and spend time with family and friends
